NRA Targets 7.64 trillion in 2022

The Commissioner of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), Dr. Samuel Jibao, said that NRA is projected to collect 7.64 trillion in revenue mobilization for 2022.He added that there is an increment of 1.22trillion when compared to Le, 6.5 trillion in 2021.

He made this statement while commenting on the success and plans of the Authority in 2022 recently.

 Jibao said that in order to achieve the said target, the NRA would continue to educate the public on various taxes and its importance, adding that they would ensure that those who are not part of the tax system would be put onboard.

He added that client must ensure that they use the cash register machine, emphasizing that failing to do so would result in a violation of the Revenue Act.

“To collect tax there must be good foundation on the process to enable correct information about the different taxes.We would continue to stabilize the system for the mobilization of revenue,” Dr. Jibao promised.

Jibaocited that after they would have distributed the first batch of five thousand Cash Register Machines, clients would be required to pay for the second consignment of machines before they would be installed.

He mentioned that they wouldcommission the cargo facility at the Queen Elizabeth II Quay and would soon commence the construction ofa building which would be dubbed “the Revenue House” which would house The National Revenue Authority.
