Friend of Deceased Testifies in Case of Murder

Ibrahim Kamara, the friend of one Joseph C. Metzger, who was allegedly murdered at Armani Night Club, has on Tuesday 24th May, 2022 made another appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No.2 where the case is being investigated.

Christopher Lavallie, is  accused of  the offence which happened on Tuesday 22nd March 2022 at Armani Night club Brookfields in Freetown unlawfully murdered Josephus C. Metzeger.

Led in evidence by Police Prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of Police Hawa Bah, the second Prosecution Witness (PW2), Ibrahim Kamara told the court that he knew the accused and recognized Josephus (now deceased) as his friend.

He recalled that on the date of the incident they had gone to Armani Night Club and while they were there Josephus promised to give Le 30,000 to the accused, adding that Josephus then went and bought cigarette.

Kamara further said that after his friend returned from purchasing the cigarette, the accused that was standing together with his colleagues at the side of mosque chased and stab Josephus on his throat with a pair of scissors.

He added that he tied Metzgerā€™s neck with a cloth and he was later placed him on a motorbike and was conveyed to the Connaught hospital. 

Lawyer S. Bell representing the accused was absent; Magistrate Ngegba therefore adjourned the matter to Tuesday 31st May, 2022 for cross examination. The accused was denied bail and remanded back in prison at the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba Road in Freetown.
