RSLAF Personnel Arraigned for Murder             

Albert John Kandeh, a personnel of the  Republic of Sierra Armed  Forces of the Republic of Sierra Leone (RSLAF), on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 appeared before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Court No 3 for allegedly  killing one Marie Bangura.

The accused is charged with a count of murder contrary to law. According to the particulars of offence, the accused Albert John Kandeh on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Ansumana Street, Kambia 2 Check Point in Magbema Chiefdom, Kambia District murdered Marie Bangura.

When the charge was read no plea was taken and there was no witness to testify for the first appearance.  

There was no legal representation for the accused. Magistrate Tucker remanded the accused until June 7, 3022.

 Detective Superintendent Sorie Conteh is prosecuting the matter. In another development in the same court, Idrissa John Paul Kamara was also remanded for allegedly defrauding one Abdul Aziz Jalloh of the sum of US$5000 in order to facilitate his travel to Europe. He was remanded until June 7, 2022. Chief Inspector Francis Macauley is Prosecuting the matter.
