Mohamed Turay Swimming President
The President of the Sierra Leone Swimming Diving and Water Polo Association (SLSDWA) Mohamed Turay has been elected as a member of the CANA Zone 2 Bureau for four years – 2022 – 2026.
Turay was the scribe of swimming before he took over as the newly elected President of the Sierra Leone Swimming Diving and Water Polo Association in October 2021.
Upon assuming office, his administration has been supporting school-going athletes with school materials and finance.
He also provided support to a coach of the Fourah Bay College, and officials who participated in a Level 1 Open Swimming Course organized in Ghana.
Athlete Titi Dumbuya was awarded a one-year scholarship to train at the FINA Development Center in Senegal.
On his recent appointment, he traveled with athletes to Senegal on CANA Zone 2 African Championship.
Sierra Leone swimmer Saidu Barrie came second in his 50m Breaststroke heat in the just concluded CANA ZONE 2 competition held in Senegal.
