Murder Trial:  Exhibit Clerk Tenders Sticks in Court

Detective police sergeant Issa Kamara on Monday,  August 29,  2022 tendered bunch of sticks in court in an alleged murder matter of one Amidu Kargbo.

Four accused persons Abubakar Suleiman Kamara, Dora Samuella Kamara, Benjamin Mohamed Lamin Kamara and Imatu Suleiman Kamara were arraigned before magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No1 on two counts of conspiracy and murder contrary to law.

According to the particulars of the offence, on  count one, all the accused persons on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at No 4 Mamah Lane, Kambia 2 in the Magbema chiefdom,  northwest judicial district conspired with other persons unknown to murder Amidu Kargbo.

While in count two, the said accused persons on the same date and place murdered Amidu Kargbo.

Prosecution witness No 4, Detective Sergeant 8576 Issa Kamara led in evidence by ASP Christina Davis Cole Esq., said he is an exhibits clerk  attached to exhibit office at CID headquarters in Freetown.

He recalled on  July 18, 2022, he was on duty  when Detective  inspector Makieu DA attached to the homicide syndicate,  handed over to him bunch of sticks which were registered in their court exhibit book and had since been in police custody.

The exhibits were produced and tendered in court to form part of prosecution’s case.

During cross-examination by lawyer Gevao, defense counsel for all the accused persons, the witness said the exhibits were handed over to him after the alleged incident occurred.

Magistrate Ngegba however, remand the accused persons. The matter was adjourned to August 30,  2022.
