The Administration of the University of the Sierra Leone (USL) is appalled by the sad news of the discovery in a grave of the mortal remains of Mr. Kabba Santigie Bangura, a lecturer in the Department of Geography, Fourah Bay College (FBC).
According to the Media Officer and Spokesman of the Waterloo Police Division, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Allieu Jalloh, the remains of Mr. Bangura were found in what appeared to be a “shrine” within the premises of one Mr. Ibrahim Kalokoh, a resident of Sherbro Town, 4 Mile, in the outskirts of Waterloo.
ASP Jalloh has also confirmed that the prime suspect and six others are in custody at CID Headquarters and are helping the police with the investigations.
The USL Administration said in a statement on Monday that it strongly and unequivocally condemns Mr. Bangura’s killers, and therefore urges the police to get to the bottom of such tragic incident and to bring all those responsible to book.
The USL Administration sincerely shares the grief of the bereaved family and extends its sincere condolences.
