Just after the commencement of the Sierra Leone top-flight League on Friday, November 3, 2023, the High Court of Sierra Leone has slammed an injunction restraining the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and the Sierra Leone Premier League Board from holding Premier League games until the Court determines issue of irregularities in the Sierra Leone Premier League.
The matter was filed by Alusine Kamara and Ahmed Musa through Teddy Koroma and Associates, on behalf of Kamboi Eagles.
The matter has been slated for November 10, 2023, for further hearing.
The Chairman of the Premier League Board, Victor Lewis said that the board on Saturday and Sunday lost over Le 60 million to clubs after all preparations had been made to honor the respective fixtures.
He added that they refunded those clubs who are supposed to have matches on Saturday and Sunday after they have presented their claims on their expenditure.
