Women’s Premier League: Registration of Players starts today

The new Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League Board in a press release dated Wednesday, November 22, 2023, has announced that the 2023/24 Women’s Premier League Season is underway, and all teams are hereby informed as follows:

  • Registration of Clubs, Players, and Officials will commence from today November 23, 2023 to December 7, 2023; and the prescribed fee for this season’s registration is Nle2,500/00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred new Leones) or Le 2.500.000/00 ( Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Leones).

It could be recalled that the median women’s premier league was great with lots of young talents who were noticed and placed into some of the football categories for future use. Last season Champions Mogbwema Queens won the league with 55 points and had the opportunity to play for the first time in the CAF Women Champions League but were unable to progress and lost their first match by lone goal to AS Dakar.

Earlier on, the Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association has appointed the following persons to serve in the national female Premier League Board ahead of the commencement of the 2023/24 league season:

2. Angella C. Gabiddon – Secretary

3. Jeneba Essekwi – Member

4. Daniella S. Mansaray – Member

5. Kadiatu Manga Conte – Member

6. Emilia Jengo Kamara – Member

7. Hawa Dauda – Member

8. Mamoud Kargbo • Member

9. Mariam Mansaray – Member
