Bo Rangers Crowns 3rd Premier League Title with 5-1 Trouncing of Lamboi FC

Three seasons in a row League winners Bo Rangers in their final match against Lamboi FC at the Southern Arena on Sunday defeated the latter 5 -1 as they were crowned Champions of the Leone Rock Premier League for the 3rd time.

The crowning ceremony was quite a spectacle in a momentous event on Sunday, June 30th, at the Southern Arena in Bo, with an array of esteemed dignitaries, including the 1st Vice President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Harold Nat-Johnson, in attendance.

The event was further highlighted by the attendance of the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, the Deputy Executive Director of the National Sports Authority Dr. Abdulrahaman Swarray, and His Worship the Deputy Mayor of Freetown City Council, Kweku Lisk, who doubled as an executive committee member. Additionally, the SLFA Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh was present and had the honor of presenting the Man of the Match Award to Bo Rangers’ midfielder, Mohamed Kabba who was at his best throughout the match, scoring a hatrick. These prominent figures, alongside other key sports and government dignitaries, witnessed the historic moment as Bo Rangers solidified their dominance in Sierra Leone football.

Bo Rangers’ crowning achievement was sealed with an emphatic 5-1 victory against Lamboi FC in their final match of the 2023/2024 Leone Rock Premier League season. The match showcased the team’s exceptional skill and determination, serving as a fitting finale to a stellar campaign. The Southern Arena erupted in celebration as Bo Rangers’ players, staff, and supporters rejoiced in their well-earned triumph.

The victory not only underscores Bo Rangers’ prowess on the domestic stage, but also paves the way for their representation of Sierra Leone at the continental level in the 2024/25 CAF Club Champions League. SLFA 1st Vice President- Harold Nat-Johnson, in his address, commended Bo Rangers for their remarkable achievement and praised the team’s unwavering dedication and hard work. The Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, lauded the team’s spirit and resilience, highlighting the positive impact of their success on the Country’s sports landscape. The Deputy Executive Director, Dr. Abdulrahaman Swarray echoed the aforementioned sentiments, acknowledging the collective effort which propelled Bo Rangers to the pinnacle of Sierra Leone football.
