Model Hopeful to Bring Mr Sierra Leone 2024 to Bo

Abubakar Conteh, popularly known as Model Shine, a model in Bo City in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone, has said he is very hopeful to bring the Mr. Sierra Leone 2024 trophy to Bo although he would be contesting against other models. 

According to him, a lot of preparations have been made towards the upcoming competition.

He has called on his fans to support him win the competition because bringing the trophy to Bo entails not only a talent and hard work, but a massive support. “So, I am calling on my caring fans, colleague students from Njala University and the people of Bo to support me win this forthcoming competition,” he said.

According to him, his journey as a model is a testimony to his commitment, gift, and the power of community support. “As I have stepped into the limelight once more, I have with me hopes and goals of my supporters. With your firm support my supporters, I am confident that I will make a great impact at the Mister Sierra Leone pageant thus maintaining my career as a model,” he said.

Since Model Shine started a career as a model, he has contested and won several awards, including ‘Mr. New England Villa Bo Town’ in 2019, ‘Mr. New Site’ in Freetown in 2021, ‘Mr. Kissy’ in 2022’, ‘Mr. Njala University’ in 2023. After that year, he emerged as the runners-up in the ‘Top Model of the World Sierra Leone competition’ and in 2024, he was crowned as ‘Mister Bo’.

Mister Sierra Leone is a platform that honors and gives opportunity to models to showcase their talents.  The competition usually attracts models from all across the 16 districts of Sierra Leone.
