Electrician Jailed 54 Months for Mobile Theft

Twenty-one year old Ibrahim Renner alias Alkaline, an electrician, has on Thursday 25th July 2024 sentenced to 54 months in prison for stealing an Ipad and a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone. 

The accused made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.2 on the charge of Larceny.  

The Police are claiming that Renner, the accused, on Tuesday 2nd July 2024 at No. 56 Bye Pass Road, at Kissy in Freetown intentionally stole one Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra mobile, one mini Ipad, and two Ipad pro 6th generation 2024 model all to the total sum of Le 139,108 property of Ibrahim Leigh.  

After the charge had been read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty. 

The Prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Isatu Baba Musa told the bench that fact as charge no available records against the accused person. 

The accused was not legally represented so he pleaded with the bench to temper justice with mercy on his behalf.

Due to his plea in mitigation, Magistrate Bangura sentenced him to four years six months to the male correctional facility in Freetown.
