SLPP Secretary General Sues Businessman

Lawyer Umaru Napoleon Koroma, Secretary General of the Sierra Leone People’s Party who is the Deputy Ministry of Mine, has on Thursday, July 25, 2024, dragged Ferdinand Morrcil Johnson, a businessman to court for allegedly defrauding him of two vehicles valued at Le 864,000.

The accused made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of  Pademba Road Court No.2 and was arraigned on one  count of Fraudulent Conversion contrary to section 20 (1) (iv) (b) of the Larceny Act 1916. 

According to the particulars of offence, the accused sometime in 2023 in Freetown, fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit one grey 4 Runner Jeep with registration number AQN 055 value at $ US 18, 000 and 1 navy blue Benz Jeep with registration number AQA 707 all to the total value of Le 864,000 entrusted to him by Umaru Napoleon Koroma Esq. for the purpose of sales, property of the said Umaru Napoleon Koroma Esq. 

When the matter was mentioned in court the accused person was absent. 

The Prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of Police, Isatu Baba Musa applied for bench warrant against the absent accused person 

Magistrate Bangura granted the application and adjourned the matter to the 2nd August 2024.
