Bodyguard in Case of Fraudulent Conversion Involving US$45,000

Pierra Martin Gomez, a bodyguard to Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, on Friday, August 23, 2024, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura for allegedly obtaining over US$ 45,000 from Nickson Frezin, An America Citizen. The money is said to have been for obtaining mining privileges and purchasing a four-acre plot of land at Lungi.

The accused was arraigned before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road court No.1, on 17 charges of Fraudulent Conversation.

The indictment states that the accused, Gomez, on diverse date between May to November, 2022 obtained the sum of $33,000 from the victim Nickson Frezin for mining purpose.

It was also alleged by the victim, Frezin, that the accused, Gomez, obtained another sum of $12,000 for the purpose of purchasing a four-acre plot of land at Lungi.

After the charges had been read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken, and the accused was admitted to bail in which he stood in his own recognizance.

The matter comes up next on Tuesday 27th August, 2024 for the complainant to testify before the court.
