Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Choir of Tongue of Fire Evangelist Ministry International, based in Calaba Town, is set to host its annual Zaman Festival on October 11 and 12, 2024. This highly anticipated event, dedicated to worshiping and praising God through music, has become a key highlight for both the church and the local community.

In an interview with Premier Newspaper on October 9, 2024, Aminata Dainkeh, the choir mistress, explained that the festival’s purpose extends beyond traditional worship. “The Zaman Festival serves as a platform to share the gospel and encourage people to turn to God,” Dainkeh said. She emphasized that the event helps attendees deepen their spiritual lives and overcome everyday distractions.

The two-day festival will feature a variety of performances, including drama, poetry, singing, and instrumental music, all designed to uplift and inspire the congregation. Dainkeh noted that the festival has made a lasting impact on many attendees over the years. “We’ve received numerous testimonies from participants who have experienced life-changing moments during the event,” she added.

This year’s Zaman Festival aims to foster unity among various churches in the region. “We will be inviting churches from different communities to join us for this celebration,” Dainkeh said. In response to growing enthusiasm and requests from past participants, the festival has been extended to two days this year to allow more time for worship and celebration.

As the festival marks its fourth year, Dainkeh highlighted the continued positive reception it has received. “Past festivals have been met with such enthusiasm that attendees have requested we hold the event more frequently,” she explained.

The Zaman Festival promises to be a comprehensive celebration of faith, featuring praise through music, performance, and worship. Dainkeh expressed hope that the upcoming event will be both entertaining and spiritually enriching. “We invite everyone to attend in large numbers,” she urged. “The festival will be a time of worship, joy, and spiritual renewal.”

The Zaman Festival has grown into a beacon of hope and inspiration for the Tongue of Fire Evangelist Ministry and the wider community, providing an opportunity for individuals to deepen their faith and experience the transformative power of worship.
