Sudden Death of Former DMU President Raises Concerns

Freetown, 7th September 2024 — The Diocesan Men’s Union (DMU) of the Anglican Diocese of Freetown has expressed deep concern over the mysterious and untimely death of their former president, Brother Arnold Adeyemi Coker. Coker, a senior police officer, was found dead in his Hastings home in the early hours of Monday, 2nd September 2024.

The circumstances surrounding Coker’s death remain unclear, leaving many with questions and grief. The Diocesan Men’s Union, alongside Coker’s family and friends, is mourning the unexpected loss of a leader who had dedicated years of service to the Union.

In a statement issued by the DMU, the group conveyed their heartfelt condolences to Coker’s family, offering prayers and support during this painful time. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Bro. Arnold Ade Coker during this difficult time of grief. Our prayers are with them as they navigate this painful moment, and we ask God to grant them strength and comfort,” the statement read.
