Sierra Leone’s celebrated hip-hop artist, Amara Dennis Turay, better known as Kao Denero, has made waves once again by securing two major nominations at the 2024 Africa Entertainment Awards (AEA). He has been recognized in the prestigious categories of “Album of the Year” and “Best Hip-Hop Artist” for his highly acclaimed project ‘Heroes’,

Known as the “King of Sierra Leone,” Kao Denero has been instrumental in taking Sierra Leonean music to the global stage, significantly elevating the profile of his country’s entertainment industry. His distinct style blends hard-hitting beats with thought-provoking lyrics, often rooted in the socio-political realities of Sierra Leone. These elements have earned him a dedicated fanbase not only in Sierra Leone but across Africa and beyond.
