U.S. Ambassador Bryan Hunt and Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Country Director Steven Grudda on Friday, October 11, 2024, with Vice President Mohamed Jalloh, to discuss how best to move forward with the MCC Compact, the U.S. Embassy said in its X handle on Friday.
Both sides agreed on the need to move rapidly to meet the preconditions for the agreement to enter into force, including implementation of the 84 recommendations of the Tripartite Committee.
Vice President Jalloh serves as the official point of contact on the Compact for the Government of Sierra Leone, and Ambassador Hunt presented him with one of the pens used to sign the historic agreement.
