Deputy Mines Minister Receives  Indian Investors

Wednesday, November 27,  2024: Twenty Indian investors who landed last night at the Freetown International Airport have been warmly welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Umaru Napoleon Koroma. 

The visitors, led by Indian business tycoon, humanitarian and author, Dr Opesh Singh of the Opesh Group are in Sierra Leone to explore and hold discussions with the Government of Sierra Leone on investment opportunities, especially in the mining sector.

The visit was the outcome of a three-day conference held in the City of Jaipur Rajasthan in India where the Deputy Mines Minister brilliantly showcased Sierra Leone as an attractive investment destination. The Rajasthan conference attracted scores of business leaders and policymakers from Asia and around the globe, many of whom had expressed a desire to visit Sierra Leone and seek viable investment opportunities. 

In the next few days, the team will engage several stakeholders in government and the private sector.
