Man Sentenced to 150 Years in Prison for Treason and Murder

Appeals court judge Hon. Justice Momoh-Jah Stevens on  Tuesday, December 10, 2024, sentenced a coup plotter George Adams to 75 years in prison.

Hon.Justice Momoh-Jah Steven found the accused George Adams guilty of the offense of treason, misprision of treason, and murder of a correctional service officer Isaac Johnson during an attempted coup on September 10, 2023, in Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown.

Hon. Justice Momoh-Jah Steven sentenced George Adams to 75 years for treason, five years for misprision of treason, and 70 years for murder.

George Adams is to run the sentence consecutively and to serve a sentence of 150 years.
