APC Standard-bearer Hopeful Donates 200 Bags of Cement to Fourah Bay Mosque Project

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, the Fourah Bay community celebrated a significant milestone as Ady Macauley, a prominent legal expert and APC 2028 flagbearer hopeful, generously donated 200 bags of cement towards the expansion of the Jamiul Atiq Mosque. The occasion drew widespread appreciation from religious leaders, community elders, and government officials.

The grand event, attended by a mix of political and religious stakeholders, marked the ceremonial turning of the sod, signaling the commencement of a project aimed at transforming the mosque into a larger and more accommodating space for worshippers.

Macauley’s presence at the ceremony was met with deep respect and admiration. As he made his donation, the audience erupted in applause, acknowledging not just his financial contribution but also his longstanding dedication to community empowerment.

“This mosque is more than a place of worship; it is a symbol of faith, unity, and heritage. As a proud Muslim and a son of this nation, I see it as my duty to contribute towards its growth and expansion,” Macauley stated, addressing the packed courtyard.

His donation received special recognition from religious leaders who praised his continuous support for faith-based projects across the country.

Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, the keynote speaker at the event, showed solidarity with the initiative, commending the people of Fourah Bay for their support. He emphasized the role of influential individuals in community development.

The ceremony saw a strong representation from the APC, with party members and grassroots supporters present to celebrate Macauley’s contribution. Following his speech, Macauley participated in the symbolic turning of the sod alongside other dignitaries, marking the official start of the expansion project. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a sense of community upliftment.

Haja Mariama Wahid delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Macauley and all supporters. The event concluded with prayers from Madrassa Sulaimania Elekewe, as worshippers reflected on the day’s significance.

As Macauley exited the mosque grounds, he was greeted with handshakes, smiles, and words of gratitude from community members, reinforcing his reputation as a leader who values faith, development, and the well-being of the people.

The program was chaired by Alhaji Prof. Aliyageen Mohamed Alghali, alongside Alhaji Alieu Mahdi, the Chairman of the Project Implementation Committee, who provided an overview of the project.
