Bai Bureh Warriors Secure 4-1 Victory Over Mighty Blackpool

Freetown, Sierra Leone – Bai Bureh Warriors finally secured their first Premier League win of the season, defeating Mighty Blackpool 4-1 in a thrilling match. This victory comes after almost 10 matches in the ongoing league.

Goals from Mohamed Mansaray, Capio Bangura, Koleko Aber, and Mohamed Kamara sealed the win for the North-westerners, while Sulaiman Conteh netted the lone goal for the Tis Tas Boys. Despite this victory, Bai Bureh Warriors remain in the drop zone, having lost five of their ten games and drawing the other four.

Mighty Blackpool, on the other hand, suffered their sixth defeat of the campaign. With only two wins and two draws, they are also still in the relegation zone.

In other matches, Ports Authority sank to the bottom of the league table after a 1-0 loss to Kamboi Eagles. This marks the Waterfront Boys’ eighth defeat of the season. The Eagles, however, registered their third win of the season, moving up to ninth place. Their performance in February, with three wins and a draw, has kept their momentum going.

Old Edwardians and first-placed Bhantal played to a 0-0 draw at the SLFA Academy Field on Friday. Both teams had numerous clear-cut chances, but neither was able to break the deadlock, resulting in a scoreless draw.
