Freetown, Sierra Leone – April 9, 2025: The Sannoh Descendants Organisation has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio for appointing Honourable Ibrahim Sannoh as Minister of Youth Affairs. This historic appointment marks the first time a member of the Sannoh family has attained ministerial status.
Honourable Sannoh, a founding member of the Sannoh Descendants Organisation, has been recognized for his longstanding contributions to national development. The organization, which is registered and active across Africa, views this appointment as a testament to the administration’s acknowledgment of their enduring efforts.
In a statement, Ibrahim Jonmoi Sannoh, President of the Sannoh Descendants Organisation, highlighted the family’s contributions to Sierra Leone’s progress, even before the organization’s formal inauguration in Freetown. He described Honourable Sannoh as a trailblazer, noting that other family members have also held key roles in the Judiciary and senior public administration. “We are confident that Minister-Designate Ibrahim Sannoh will play a pivotal role in advancing the President’s BIG 5 GAME CHANGERS initiative, particularly in youth empowerment,” he added.
The Sannoh Descendants Organisation traces its roots to Lorombo village in Guinea, the ancestral homeland of the Sannoh lineage. With active operations across Africa and plans to establish chapters globally, the organization continues to champion development and unity.
