Sierra Leone: FTC Student Union engages WARDC Chairman

As a way of bringing the Freetown Teachers College (FTC) closer to the community, the newly elected Student Union Government of the Freetown Teachers College has on Monday July 6, 2020 paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the Western Area Rural District Council, Kasho J. Holland Cole at his office in Waterloo.

The purpose of the visit is to engage Chairman Kasho Cole who is an alumnus of the college to share ideas and discuss issues that have do with the development of the Freetown Teachers College and its students.

The President of Freetown Teachers College Student Union, Mr. James Kamara, said that they are happy to meet the first Gentleman of the Western Rural District to discuss range of developmental issues.

“We have so many pending developmental projects like covering of the Pavilion, renovation of the Student Union Secretariat and multi-purpose hut, so we are here to seek your support as it your college and your District,” said Suad Barrie, FTC Student Union Information Minister.

Chairman Kasho Cole congratulated the newly elected Student Union government, and call on them to embrace all and sundry for the development of the college.

He promised to support them to make the college a centre of attraction and production of Quality Education in the country.
