Sierra Leone: Gov’t Warns people travelling to China

The Government of Sierra Leone through the National COVID-19 Emergency Response Centre has in a public notice issued on Tuesday September 1, 2020, warned people who may want to travel to the People’s Republic of China should be able to produce a negative PCR COVID-19 test result 72 hours before departure.

The Spokesperson for the National Emergency Response Center, Solomon Jamiru Esq said “Accordingly, such persons are required to register on www.travel.gov.sl and pay online or via mobile money for their test five days to date of travel, to enable them secure their results within 72 hours to departure.”

He emphasized that those travelling to the People’s Republic of China are kindly advised to proceed to either the Jui Chinese Hospital, or 34 Military Hospital at Wilberforce 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily, to provide samples.
