Mohamed AU Sesay, an indigene of Samu Chiefdom, Kambia district, has written a book titled “Unfaithful Husband” which he is set to launch on October 30, 2020 in Kambia town.
Sesay explained that the book consists of three different stories which are very educative for married couples, single persons and students.
“The importance of the book can’t be overemphasized because it teaches a lot of moral lessons ranging from relationships to social interaction,” he said.
He said he wants to inspire young people, and show the world the realities of life through his creative writing.
He furthered that, he had been writing for a very long time now and he wants his works to be known to the world.
According to Sesay, the book could be used in primary and secondary schools because the stories are highly educative.
He revealed that he has reached out to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary School Education (MBSSE) for the book to be incorporated into the textbooks syllabus for primary and secondary schools in the country.
Sesay said, “I am not into writing for money making, but rather for him to pass on knowledge to the young folks because he loves to see young people pushing for success.” He added that he has been through a lot in life and wants to guide young people not to tread the wrong path in life.
He said that he has reached out to various publishing houses and book vendors in Sierra Leone to market his book, after its launch, and called on institutions and individuals to help in his drive to positively impact the youths through his writing. He encouraged people to buy the book when it is out because it is worth reading, and would also help motivate him to put in more effort in his writing career.
