Abdul Salam Turay, the director and founder of the New Skool Awards (NSA), an entertainment award, has said that an award festival which they had planned but was put off due to the Coronavirus outbreak has been rescheduled to Friday December 18, 2020 at the Radisson Blu (Mammy Yoko) Hotel, Aberdeen in Freetown.
He explained that the festival was to be staged on March 14, 2020, but due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country it was postponed to avoid public gathering.
He said, “The Company is very pleased to inform nominees and the general public that the long awaited event and most anticipating award ceremony which was postponed due to the pandemic is finally going to take place on Friday December 18, 2020. The Executive Committee and the entire membership of the company are happy to inform the public.”
He added that, the NSA nominees voting process will continue on the 9th of November and end on 12th December 2020.
On behalf of the NSA, he assured the Government of Sierra Leone, they would be peace loving and law abiding citizens, and would do everything possible to recognize the ethics of social distancing and also ensure ‘mask up’.
