Sierra Leone: Kalibondo offers free computer training

Kalibondo, an Investment Company in the east of Freetown, has offered to give free computer training to foster youth empowerment and promote development.  Mohamed Foh, the CEO and Managing Director of the company made the disclosure on Friday, October 30, 2020, when he spoke to Premier News.

According to Foh, empowering the youth with knowledge  is one way the society could develop.

“Helping people gain knowlegde in computer communication would help them secure jobs at the end of the day.Those that have jobs already would be perform better at their jobs,” he said.

He said that the training will be open to any youth who might want to become a computer literate.

He said that he had observed that people in the communities, mostly the youths, lack computer literacy, which causes them  to ecounter difficulty in their places of work, when using the internet to  communicate and when they interact on social media.

“kalibondo is an investment company, but the aim is not focusing much on money but community development.We will train people who are ready with everything as far as software development.”

He explained, “I found out that there was no literate in internet communication in some of the communities mostly in the east of Freetown. so I decided to open Kalibondo as an internet cafe  to enable people to have access to a computer and able to use it.”
