Sierra Leone: Magistrate remands seven suspected of robbing MP

Magistrate Sulaiman Koroma has on Monday November 16, 2020 remanded seven persons suspected of robbing property worth millions of Leones from Honorable Alhaji Musa Foday Baimba Jalloh, a Member of Parliament who represents constituency 054. The seven accused person were arraigned before the Magistrate Court No 1 at Ross Road in Freetown.

The seven accused persons are Usiff Barrie, Santigie Sesay, Rechard turay, Abass Bangura, Ibrahim Saidu Baba, Alieu Sesay and Morlai Kargbo. 

According to the particulars of offence, the accused persons on Sunday September 13, 2020, conspired and robbed the complainant of property valued at Le37,575,000. The victim was absent in court.

The presiding Magistrate however, remanded the said accused persons and adjourned the matter to November 24, 2020.
