The Sierra Leone Ambassador to Egypt, Morie Fofona has on Monday, January 4, 2020, welcomed two police officers from Sierra Leone who are on a two-year scholarship to pursue a cadet course in Egypt.
The Embassy welcomed Police Constable (PC) 19576 Martin Peter Sovula attached at Central Division, and PC 20923 Mohamed Teteh Fofanah attached at OSD Headquarters in Freetown in a dinner at the residence of the Ambassador.
In his welcome address, Ambassador Fofona assured the two police officers of his support during their stay, adding that the opportunity given to them should reflect in their output and betterment of Sierra Leone.
He cited that the embassy has been working relentlessly to ensure that they secure their admission into the Egyptian Police Academy for professional training.
The Ambassador heaped praises on his subordinates for their collective efforts in fostering the objectives of the embassy in Cairo, adding that their efforts has added value to the smooth running of the embassy.
The Ambassador warned staffs that they should always be prepared for cross postings referrals as it is one of the routine of diplomatic missions.
In thanking the Ambassador, the two police officers expressed their satisfaction over the hospitality of the embassy since their arrival in Egypt, adding that they feel at home even though they are far away.
