Justice Momoh Jah Stevens (JA) has on Tuesday 8 November 8, 2022, sentenced 24-year-old Chernoh Jalloh and 28-year-old Yomie Strasser King to 40 years imprisonment each after they were found guilty of robbery with aggravation.
The Judge handed down his sentence after the accused were found guilty of three counts of conspiracy, robbery with aggravation, and causing grievous bodily harm.
It was alleged that the convicts on diverse date between the 14th and 16th May 2022 in Freetown, conspired with others person unknown to commit robbery with aggravation.
The chargesheet further states that the accused being armed with a black Knives robbed Mariama Turay one barbing machine, Le11 million, property of Mabinty Jalloh.
Justice Stevens said that accused persons had pleaded guilty of the offense when the charges were read to them.
The learned Judge stated that the prosecution has proven their case beyond reasonable doubt against both accused.
He therefore, found the accused guilty of the offenses of conspiracy, robbery with aggravation, and causing grievous bodily harm.
They were sentenced to 40 years in prison each.
