Police have released the Spokesman of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, Sidi Yayah Tunis after two nights in a police cell.
Tunis said he was freed on a Le200 million bail bond and asked to report on Monday.
He was detained on Tuesday after a radio interview on FM 98.1 which the police deemed inciting.
Tunis has denied the allegation saying it’s an intimidation tactic.
His party believed that Tunis was arrested and detained for upholding the democratic principle of dissent and his right to freedom of expression.
