Ernest Koroma May Be Granted Bail Today
Reliable sources have confirmed to this medium that President Julius Maada Bio was emotionally touched when the health condition of former President Ernest Bai Koroma was explained to him.
Sources say President Bio was visibly shaken by the medical report of former President Ernest Bai Koroma and has vowed not to stand in the way of granting bail to the former president to be able to be flown abroad for medical treatment.
Lawyers for former President Ernest Bai Koroma had filed an application in court for their client to be granted bail and flown out on medical grounds.
The application matter comes up for hearing today, Wednesday, January 17, at the High Court.
Though the outcome of the bail application is not yet known, however, the president was briefed on the health situation of the former president and reports say he felt pity for the aging Ernest Bai Koroma.
President Bio has always been a compassionate and humane person and sources say when he was told and the medical report shown to him, he asked that former President Ernest Bai Koroma be given every medical help.
