Badminton President Signs MOU for Construction of Academy in Sierra Leone

The president of Badminton Sierra Leone, Chief Michael Shamsu Mustapha, has been recognized as a honorary member of a Badminton Academy in the Czech city of Most, where he also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which would facilitate the construction of a Badminton Academy in Sierra Leone and promote technical exchange.

The Association has already secured land for the purpose, and through its cooperation with Super Stars Badminton Academy in the city of Most, Czech Republic, they will provide strategic and logistical support to the project. It is also worth noting that this Academy will host technical training programs for countries in the sub region.

As part of the cooperation, the Sierra Leone Badminton team will participate in an international training camp and workshops for coaches in Czech Republic in July 2024 as preparation for major tournaments.

According to the Association president – Chief Mustapha, ” I really do appreciate this honor to be recognized as an Honorary Member of the academy and proud as one of the few sporting associations to own an academy in Sierra Leone.”
