Bo Rangers have again won the Sierra Leone Premier League for the second time in a row this weekend after defeating their arch rivals Wusum Stars from Makeni by 2-0 at the newly built 600 Southern Arena in Bo. Abu Komeh and Suffian Kaloko scored to make sure the title remains in the provinces.
Bo Rangers has won the League with some games yet to be played while the team remains unbeaten in the league having played 30 games and amassing a total of 72 points.
Premier Newspaper understands that Bo Rangers has equaled Diamond Stars’ record as the two provincial teams to have won the league twice in a row (back-to-back). They are poised to equal East End Lions’ record as the only team in Sierra Leone which has won the League in three consecutive seasons.
Journalist Ing David Lebbie, who is embedded with Bo Rangers Squad told Premier News that, in an interview he conducted the Executive Chairman of Bo Rangers, Babadi Kamara, expressed delight in the team’s historic victory, noting that Bo rangers is ready to continue its dominance of Sierra Leone football. According to Lebbie Babadi Kamara expressed great expectation over the coming CAF last continental (CAF Champions League) performance was nothing compared to what they will do in the not-too-distant future. He thanked the Management, Technical Staff, Players, and Fans of Bo Rangers for their effort in ensuring they retain the title.
Bo Rangers have won a maximum of 21 games and have drawn 9 matches scoring 37 goals and conceding 10. Their next match will be in Freetown against Freetown City Football Club on Wednesday the 5th of July 2023, and on at home against Kamboi Eagles on the following Saturday. In their second to last match before the close of the current League season they will play against Port Authority before bringing down curtain on the season at home to Bai Bureh Warriors.
