CeeJay Mark, a renowned Sierra Leonean musician, on Friday September 23,2022 has stormed with a single song titled: ‘If’,a track which talks about the power of love and the consequences of letting go off a relationship that doesn’t worth it.
In the song, Ceejay expressed that he did regret his action of letting go off his long-term partner for some other woman. He stated that it is worth staying with a devil one has known than with the one he has not.“Had I known, I wouldn’t have let go off you baby. Now I have known what I missed. If ar bi know, ar nor for don lef you baby. If ar bi know, ar for don gee you everything,” he expressed.
According to Ceejay, ‘If’ is one of the songs from his forthcoming album most of which were produced in Nigeria and in Dubai.
The song will leave you in no doubt about Ceejay’s unique and extraordinary talent. Unlike many other best-selling album artists, Ceejay is still releasing chart-topping; stadium-filling new music and still remains at the top of his game. Many of his tracks deal with the struggles of hard-working ordinary people and the bitterness and anger they feel as life doesn’t bring them riches or glory. The song, ‘Day One Me Tem Go Cam’, for example, is about people who have been striving so many years for success, but nothing comes in return as expected. The encourages every hard working person to continue working for one day there must be a successful story.
Cee Jay Mark,who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mojo Entertainment and Chairman of the apolitical Artists for Peace in Sierra Leone started his music career in 1997 with a ‘Word-up Society crew’. He was also a member of the Jimmy B’s ‘Paradise Family’ before he could start his solo singing in 2004.
