Amidst the hustling and bustling that is normal of a Monday Morning on the Streets of Freetown a brown and gray-haired male dog has been spotted on the 19th of August 2024 crouching and sleeping in the middle of the junction of Kingharman Road and Bath and Street. Private vehicles owners, passengers on commercial minibuses, pedestrians, and pillions on private and commercial motorbikes were left in awe at the confidence and easy-going nature of the canine. It laid in the middle of the road in a crouching posture but with its head on the tarmac enjoying the warmth which had started accumulating on the ground after a rainy morning raising its head from time to time only to lower its head and drown itself in its sleep as if to say in our local parlance “Salone problem nor go kill mek a enjoy me sleep”, which translate as this country’s problem will not kill me let me enjoy my sleep.
