EU Envoy Bids Farewell

The European Union Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Manuel Muller on Monday July 15, 2024, bade farewell to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Alhaji Musa Timothy Kabba at his tower Hill Office in Freetown.

Ambassador Muller recalled the bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and the EU which spans for decades, and his three years of wonderful interactions with the government and people of Sierra Leone. This, he said, will be continued by his successor as diplomats come and go, but the relationship between the two nations would always remain.

Ambassador Muller lauded the Tripartite report and its recommendations, noting that it signifies Sierra Leone’s determination to solve conflict.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Alhaji Musa Timothy Kabba, thanked Ambassador Muller and the European Union for being strong partners in development.

Minister Kabba said that, after the country’s civil war, the European Union’s investment and development projects, helped to revive the mining sector.

He highlighted ongoing projects been funded by the EU in the country and how the EU’s investment in the country has transformed lives.
