Generation Next Entertainment SL Limited, an entertainment company in Sierra Leone, will soon host a talent competition titled: ‘The Kontri Pot Best of Salone Talent Competition’ (KPBoS’).

The upcoming competition aims to uncover talents in Sierra Leone and giving them the platform to showcase their gifts. The competition targets five categories:  Dance, Rap, Comedy, Singing and Poetry. The competition has eighty episodes in which each contestant will be given different tasks to accomplish.  In every episode, each contestant must create new material based on topics, themes and dance routines presented by the Kontri Pot management team. According to the management team, the contestants must also perform a cover song which must be a popular song by a popular Sierra Leonean artist.

“There’s also a freestyle portion of the show where each contestant must select from the Kontri Pot previously unseen topics, themes and dance routines to be performed with previously unheard music,” according to the team. This will encourage creativity in each contestant.  The team stated that successful contestants, after going through several stages, will then move to the grand finale where they will compete for the victory.

The grand final winner would get NLe150, 000 (one hundred and fifty thousand new Leones) and would have the opportunity to sign with Gen X Music Record Label for two years where they would produce, publish and distribute one music album for the winner for two years. “To be part of this Season 3 competition, you may sign up at kontripot.com/signup for a chance to win NLe150, 000 and a two year contract with Gen X Music,” said the team.
