The Government of Sierra Leone has signed six Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its Kenyan counterparts in a bid to strengthen bilateral relations and promote economic growth between the two nations.
Memorandum of Understanding were signed to foster growth and partnership in the areas of Joint Commission of Cooperation, Politics and Diplomacy, Gender Equality and Women Empowerment, Trade and Investment, Tourism and Arts and Information Communication Technology and Youth Education.
The memos were signed when President Julius Maada Bio visited the Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta in honor of his invite to serve as guest of honor for the Kenyatta Madaraka Day and one of the speakers during the commemoration of the United Nations International Peacekeeping Day in Kenya.
This disclosure was made on Thursday during the regular government press briefing hosted by at the Ministry of Information and Communications in Freetown
An official of the Media Department at State House, Lamin Sheriff said that the MoU seeks to create job opportunity, strengthen women, create space for investment, exchange of information and documentation, and also enable the youth to earnest their full potential.
