The appeal case of Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray has been adjourned to April 10, 2025, by a panel of three Appeals Court judges—Justice John Bosco Alieu (lead judge), Justice Momoh Jah Steven, and Justice Tonia Barnett. The adjournment was announced on Thursday, March 6, 2025, following an appeal filed by Mansaray’s lawyers against the judgment passed by Justice Samuel Taylor.
During the court session, the appellant’s lawyer, Musa Pious Sesay, informed the judges that the surety for his client, Madam Isha, is currently ill and out of jurisdiction. He presented the medical report sent to him via WhatsApp as evidence of her condition.
State counsel Yusuf Isaac Sesay argued that the surety should appear in court to explain why the appellant is absent and to declare that she is no longer willing to stand as surety. He added that the surety should pay the amount stated in the bail bond.
Lead Judge John Bosco Alieu emphasized the need to review the file and understand how the bail was approved. As a result, he enforced the bench warrant against both Kamarainba and his surety.
The matter has been rescheduled for continuation on April 10, 2025.
