The Chairman of the Sierra Leone Premier League Board, Sahr Kekurah, expressed gratitude to Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) for its continued commitment to local football. The mining giant renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Sierra Leone Premier League Board for the 2024/2025 season, pledging an impressive US$150,000 ( NLe3,388,170).
This renewal builds upon Leone Rock’s previous support, including a US$80,000 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in October last year for the 2023/2024 season. The company’s sustained investment in Sierra Leonean football highlights its dedication to nurturing local talents and fostering community unity.
Speaking at the ceremony, Alhaji Mohamed Turay, the Community and Security Manager of LRMG, emphasized the company’s commitment to Sierra Leonean football. “We believe in the potential of Sierra Leonean football, and this partnership is a testament to our dedication to its growth,” he stated.
