Nelson Kargbo aka Markmuday, one of the renowned Sierra Leone musicians, will between August and September 2022 tour Australia and the United States.
According to him, staging performances on international stages is one of the ways he could use his talent to sell the image of Sierra Leone, his craft and the industry to the world. “Our culture will be known through such tours. So, touring abroad is not a matter of selling ourselves and our crafts but our nation as well,” he said.
Markmuday is a songwriter, vocalist and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Slim Nation.
He is currently one of the Brand Ambassadors for Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, FC Johansen, and Orange Sierra Leone etc.
As one of the artists who have helped the entertainment industry, he said that his label, ‘Slim Nation’ was established to help young talents in Sierra Leone. “Our nation is rich if we could invest in those young people that have talents as it is always happening in other countries. The more investment; the more development,” he said.
