Mechanic Pleads Guilty to Vehicle Theft

Thirty-two-year old Francis Sesay has on Friday 19th January 2024 pleaded guilty before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 to the crime of vehicle theft.

The accused made his first appearance in court and was charge with one count of Larceny.

The Police are claiming that the accused on diverse dates between the 1st and the 31st of December 2023 at Charles Street Freetown Stole one Maroon Mitsubishi vehicle with registration number ALU 556 valued at Le 30,000 which belong to Alimamy Kamara.  

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty. The accused had no legal representation.

The Prosecutor Inspector Sellu TAP told the bench that fact as charge no previous records against the accused person.  

 Magistrate Kekura refused to admit the accused person to bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional centre in Freetown for record and sentence whiles the  matter was  adjourned to the 22nd of January 2024.
