Metro Cable Launches New Promotion

Metro Cable on Thursday, October 13, 2022, launched a new internet connectivity promotion which will run till the end of the December this year.

Metro Cable is a company located in Freetown and it provides broadband internet service in Sierra Leone.

The promotion dubbed “Fiber don Kam it’s time to feel it”, was launched at the Raddison Blu Mammy Yoko Hostel in Freetown. The event attracted corporate executives, Members of Parliament (MPs), senior government officials and members from the private sector.

Joe Naya the Head of Commercials Metro Cable said that said that the Company has deployed over 500km of fiber infrastructure   covering over 60 percent of Freetown urban and rural communities from the Central Business District to Mile 13.

He said that the businesses that subscribe to the broadband internet services they offer will enjoy one-month of free subscription and setup. He said that promotion runs till the 31st of December 2022.

Naya said that their direct fiber connectivity offers businesses ultra-fast speed to connect multiple business locations, employees and enterprise applications in real-time with lowest latency and interruption experienced when using radio wireless broadband.

He added that businesses could experience unlimited connectivity with real fiber broadband Internet delivered directly to the customer’s location.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Metro Cable, Davar Fazael  said that  connectivity is a fundamental right and not a privilege, noting that that is the reason why Metro Cable is driving investment towards creating products that set to stage to build smarter communities and enrich lives.

He said that they believe that one of the quickest ways to leapfrog economies in Africa is to narrow down on the digital divide through rapid expansion of broadband Internet to become a commonplace for everyone.

He registered his commitment to expanding the fiber broadband to remote communities. He expressed gratitude to government and their partners for their support.

The Representative of the Parliamentary Committee on Telecommunications, Hon. Paramount Chief   Bai Kurr Kanagbaro Sanka III, applauded Metro Cable for expanding broadband internet in Sierra Leone, and appealed to the Company to expand the connectivity to communities in the regions.
