Mariyam Lorba Konneh, a former Miss University Sierra Leone 2022, has recently asked Sierra Leoneans to vote and remember her in their prayers as she departs for Miss University Africa Beauty Pageant competition in Nigeria this November.
According to the model, despite that a lot of preparations had been done by her, she could not alone win the show if Sierra Leoneans are not included. “My preparations alone cannot make me a winner of this forthcoming Miss University Africa pageant show, so I need your prayers and votes. Together we can make this happen.”
To qualify for the Miss University Africa, Konneh was auditioned amongst five other brilliant and outstanding young women.
Kanneh is a second year Banking and Finance Student at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) who has helped the less privileged in the communities of Freetown.
She said that she had the vision of helping solved many challenges affecting mostly women and girls in the health sectors, saying, “With ambitious and purpose-driven mindset, I have been fully involved in promoting Female Health and Hygiene and will like to use this platform to push this initiative beyond Sierra Leone to help solve many of the problems affecting women and girls,” she said.
