As part of their social corporate responsibility, Orange Sierra Leone on Friday, April 29, 2022 donated food items to four mosques within Calton and Thompson bay community, as part of its Ramadan iftar support.
Speaking while handing over the donation, CSR Manager Mr. Kamel Abass, said that it is part of their corporate social responsibility to give back to society expecially during this month of Ramadan.
He said that Orange is a corporate entity, and they are working with every community.
He said that the donated items are not too much but it is the heart of giving that is paramount at this time. He encouraged the jamaats to use the food items for the intended purpose during this time of fasting. “You are so lucky because we have wrapped up this year’s process but through the call of the Minister of Sports Ibrahim Nyelenkeh today you are among those across the country that have benefited.”
Chief Pa Alimammy Fofanah thanked Orange Sierra Leone for what they are doing in the country. “This goodness will not fall, and Allah will continue to make more provisions for your institution in whatever you lay your hands on,” he said. He encouraged Orange to do more as God will bless them.
Alhaji Aruna of Thompson Bay Mosque thanked Orange Sierra Leone on behalf of his jamaats.
Mohamed Hassan, a community member, joined the elders by thanking Orange for the tremendous support that they have been rendering to communities across the country. He reiterated that they would ensure that other mosques receive their share of the donation.
