Orthodox FC Supports the less privileged

“Helping the poor has been our number one priority. As a Church and as a football team with the teaching of our living Lord Jesus Christ who thought us about feeding and giving help to those in need and the less fortunate,” the Manager of the Orthodox Football team, King David Koroma said when handing over food and nonfood items to the less privileged.

The Orthodox Football team and The Youth Fellowship are umbrella organizations of the Orthodox Christian Mission which has embarked on serval activities ranging from feeding the poor and given out used clothing to the less privileged and baggers.Mr Koroma told Premier News that that is not the first time they were embarking on such donation, noting that it has been part of their faith as a church and football team to support the needy.

He said that they will continue to do more in helping the needy. He disclosed that they are also contributing greatly towards the fight against COVID 19.

He further said that “His Grace, Bishop Themistocls has initiated an idea of giving to those in need. And most of his teachings are based on Charity.”
