The Project Officer at the Ministry of Youth Affairs Addison Abubakarr Tarawally was allegedly beaten by a woman and unidentified men.
The accused Zainab Sesay on Tuesday, March 11, 2023, appeared before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Ross Road Court No 3 in Freetown, on two counts of wounding contrary to Section 20 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 of The Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
According to the chargesheet, the accused Zainab Sesay on Friday, 27 January 27, 2023, at Lions Field, Kissy Dockyard, Freetown, maliciously wounded Abubakarr Tarawally.
The accused on the same date and place assaulted Addison Abubakarr Tarawally in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
According to the complainant Abubakarr Tarawally, the accused Zainab Sesay and others attacked him at the field and beat him mercilessly. He said they stole his phone cost five million Leones.
He said he was rescue by a soldier. He said the accused Zainab was arrested and the others ran away.
Accused was remanded until April 21, 2023.
Sergeant 9095 Hassan Fofanah is prosecuting the matter.
