RnB Musician to Release Single

Ibrahim S. Bangura, aka I-Bangs, an upcoming Rhythm and Blues (RnB) musician in the east of Freetown, will today (Wednesday, July 26, 2023) release a new single title ‘Move On’, a song that admonishes women to be strong and move on if they are in love with anyone who is not reciprocating.

The song, which is written in a standard format of RnB: a three-verse, repeated chorus and a bridge in all which the message of the song is expressed, was composed by I-Bangs as a result of his experience with men who usually treat women as slaves.

He said that some men are in the habit of exploiting, disrespecting, cheating and molesting their partners. Having realized that  such women become stuck to them, and since those vulnerable women are find no delight in their relationships but are mostly depressed and frustrated, they would end up committing suicide or doing things they would find regretful in the end. In that light, Bangs says through this song he encourages women to be strong and move on instead of troubling themselves over relationships that do not worth it.

Bangs in verse one of the song inspired women to wipe their tears for they have nothing to lose because they are all unique in their own ways.

He encouraged them that every pain has an expiry date, so they need to move on and find happiness. “You na golden treasure just know. Fool like them boys nor deserve you. You deserve a gentleman. So, bring back u energy and move on,” Bangs said.

According to Bangs, love is supposed to be a game of give-and-take between partners but not a one-sided thing.

I-Bangs has released songs like: ‘Crush on You’, ‘Mamacita ft. Mos-B, ‘Africa Woman’ ft. Queen F., etc.

He started his music career at the Ballanta Academy of Music and Performing Arts(BAMPA) in 2015 as a voice student and has had five certificates in music: a merit in music theory from the Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2019; a distinction and a merit in Flute in 2021 and 2023 from Music Teachers Board (MTB) in the UK, a certificate in music performance from BAMPA and a certificate in Audio-video Production from Nafora-Ba in 2023.
