Rotary Club of Freetown-Sunset Donates Land Cruiser to Combat Malnutrition

Freetown, March 29, 2025 – In a significant step towards addressing malnutrition and improving the lives of children in Sierra Leone, the Rotary Club of Freetown-Sunset, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Palm Springs Sunup, has donated a brand new Land Cruiser to Project Peanut Butter. The donation was officially handed over at Project Peanut Butter’s headquarters on 41D Wilkinson Road, Freetown.

Speaking at the event, Millicent Cole, President of the Rotary Club of Freetown-Sunset, emphasized the importance of the vehicle in supporting Project Peanut Butter’s outreach initiatives, particularly in Kono District. “This vehicle is specifically for the project in Kono District,” she stated, highlighting its critical role in expanding the project’s impact.

Representing Project Peanut Butter, Country Director Alieu Bangura and Field Coordinator Eliza Kleban expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the timely gesture. They noted that the donation would significantly enhance their ability to reach underserved suburban communities and strengthen their fight against malnutrition.

The Rotary Club of Freetown-Sunset reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside organizations dedicated to combating malnutrition, especially in rural and provincial areas of Sierra Leone. The donation marks a collaborative effort to ensure improved health outcomes for vulnerable populations across the country.
